Real Experts. Zero Handoffs. Why It Matters Who Does Your Marketing

Short answer: “zero handoffs” means the person who plans your marketing is the same person who builds it, runs it and reports on it. Nothing gets lost between a salesperson, an account manager, a junior designer and an offshore ad buyer, because that chain doesn't exist.

It's one of the biggest reasons companies come to M.E.A.N. Advertising after working with larger agencies. They didn't need more people on the account. They needed the right person doing the work.

The agency telephone game

Here's how a lot of agency relationships work. A senior person sells you the vision, then hands you to an account manager.

The account manager writes up your notes and passes them to a project manager. The project manager assigns the work to a designer, a copywriter and an ad specialist, some of whom may be contractors you'll never meet.

By the time your idea becomes an ad, it has been retold four times. Every retelling loses a little of what made your business different.

What handoffs cost you

  • Time. Simple changes wait in a queue while messages bounce between people.
  • Accuracy. Details about your offer, your customers and your market get diluted.
  • Accountability. When results slip, everyone can point at someone else.
  • Strategy. The people doing the work rarely talk to the owner, so they optimize for tasks instead of revenue.

What real experts and zero handoffs look like

M.E.A.N. is founder-led by design. I'm Adam Meeks, and I've been doing this since I founded the company in 2013.

When you work with M.E.A.N., you work directly with me. I set the strategy, shape the campaigns and look at your numbers myself.

My associate, Spencer Tetik, works alongside me on execution. It's a small, senior team on purpose, with no layers between the person who understands your business and the work that goes out.

Expertise across the whole path

Zero handoffs only works if the expert actually knows the whole job. My background covers strategy, websites, video production, social media, paid ads and the automation that connects them.

On the video side, my broadcast work includes a Telly Award for an FMCSA project. On the strategy side, I serve as CMO and CRO for more than 50 active clients.

That range matters because marketing problems rarely live in one channel. A weak ad might really be a landing page problem, and a landing page problem might really be a follow-up problem.

Why this matters more for growing companies

Established companies don't have time to re-explain their business every quarter. They need a partner who remembers what was tried, what worked and why.

They also need decisions made quickly. When a campaign starts producing leads, the budget should move this week, not after three internal meetings.

And they need one person accountable for the result. With M.E.A.N., that's me.

How to spot handoff-heavy marketing

If you're evaluating any marketing partner, ask these questions in the first meeting.

  1. Who will actually do the work on my account, and can I talk to them directly?
  2. Who decides how my ad budget is spent each week?
  3. Who reads my numbers, and how often?
  4. If results drop, who is responsible for fixing it?

If every answer is a different name, you'll be paying for coordination instead of marketing. Good reporting helps too; Google's guide to attribution in Analytics shows the kind of data a partner should be reading for you.

What you get instead

Every M.E.A.N. plan includes the M.E.A.N. System, my setup for lead capture, CRM and automatic follow-up. Plans scale by how many campaigns and how much content you want each month.

The constant is who's behind it. Real experts, doing the real work, with nothing lost in translation.

Quick answers

Is M.E.A.N. a big agency?

No, and that's intentional. It's a founder-led firm, so you work with the people doing the work.

Can a small team handle websites, video, social and ads?

Yes. That breadth is the point; one team that sees every channel can fix problems that a single-channel specialist would miss.

How do I start?

Pick the plan that matches how much marketing you want done each month, and we'll set up your system and first campaign.
