Kit's Survival Swim — Website & Custom Business Platform

I didn't just build a website — I built the whole business. A children's swim school running on a stack of monthly subscriptions, replaced with one custom platform the owner actually owns. The Challenge Kit's Survival Swim teaches infant and child water-survival lessons in Ponca City. Like most owner-operated businesses, the back office had grown into a patchwork of paid tools that didn't talk to each other: Acuity for scheduling, DocuSign for waivers, a spreadsheet for family records, and an inbox full of hand-typed reminders. The tools worked — the seams between them were the job. What I Built One custom system that runs the marketing, scheduling, paperwork, customer records, and communication — with the public website as the storefront. Behind it: a booking engine that prevents double-booking, online waiver e-signatures with legally valid records and automatic PDFs, family and swimmer records with medical flags, a parent portal, an owner dashboard, a color-coded calendar that syncs straight to her phone, and automated confirmations and reminders sent from her own domain. The Math Off the shelf, those jobs rent for roughly $130 a month — about $1,600 a year across six subscriptions (scheduling, e-signatures, email, customer records, client portal, and website hosting). Each one became a feature instead of a bill. Six subscriptions became one system she owns outright — no vendor can raise the rate or lock her out. What's Next Stripe payments close the last loop: parents pay at booking, receipts send themselves, and payment status updates automatically — from found-on-Google to paid-and-on-the-calendar in one system. Built on Next.js, React, Supabase, and Vercel.
