The Creative Challenge Over a decade ago, motion graphics required serious technical skill and software knowledge — tools like Adobe After Effects were the gold standard for animating type and building visual effects from scratch. This personal project was built entirely by hand in After Effects, long before AI entered the creative workflow. What We Built - A fully custom name animation using After Effects keyframing and motion design principles - Typography-driven motion graphics with smooth transitions and visual polish - A foundational piece that reflects the technical roots behind M.E.A.N.'s creative work Then vs. Now What once took hours of manual keyframing in After Effects can now be augmented with AI tools — but the fundamentals of good motion design haven't changed. This piece is a snapshot of where it all started, and a reminder that understanding the craft beneath the tools is what separates great creative work from the rest.
